Greatest Gift

Why don't you give love on Christmas Day
Even the man who has everything
Would be so happy if you would bring
Him love on Christmas Day,
No greater gift is there than love.

What the world needs is love
Yes, the world needs more love.

There goes a song that echoes a strident voice from the deepest part of me. A song full of meaning and can touch one wailing soul.

Christians celebrate December25 as Christmas, the anniversary of the birth of our Jesus Christ. As you can observe, many people are busy decorating and preparing for this most awaited season. Elegant Christmas trees, colorful lanterns, sparkling Christmas lights is what you see everywhere. But what is really the true essence of Christmas?

For me, the greatest gift that I can give this Christmas is LOVE. Why? Like what the song wants to convey, the world needs love. When we love one another we are ready to share our blessing to others and help them in our own little ways. Christmas is not about giving expensive gifts as a sign of love. Even though our gift is not that expensive as long it comes to our heart, we can bring joy to them.

Let us forgive and forget the people who hurt us. Let us share our blessings on those people who need help. Let us love one another. Let us pray for the sake of our community. Because I do believe that the central message of Christmas is Peace and Goodwill among all people.

November! November!

There are many incidents in our life that can be done in the month of November. One of these is the All Saints Day and All Souls Day.

During the month of November, we also celebrate the Filipino Values Month. And the theme for this celebration is "Pagpapatibay ng Pagkataong Filipino: Tugon sa Hamon ng Panahon."

Mrr. Joseph Obrero conducted the Moring Trivia every Monday, Wednesday and Friday. All of the questions were easy because we've learned it in our Values Class. There are also many activities done related in the said event like Kite Flying Contest, Sayawit, Cookfest, Poster-making and Tagis Talino.

One important event is also done in the month of November, the City Meet 2009 and it was held in our school. The Senior students were requested to attend and watched the opening program of the said event.

Lessons learned...

Second Quarter is up! And here we are again, facing more diffucult challenges that can help us in our later life.
In this quarter, I have learned about the HTML (Hypertext Markup Language). I learned about the different tags wherein I learned more how to put background color, font color and background image.
Some of the tags are familiar with me because I'm applying it on my friendster account. But I must admit that there are more tags that I've learned compare before.
In our different activities, we apply the different uses of this. At first I feel so dizzy because of the different tags. But as time goes by, it became easier. And as we go on to our lessons I really felt that its awesome.
I hope that this will help me in my college life as I face the different chapters of my life.

My Teacher,My Hero...

In this world of darkness
You are the light...
In a world of wrong
You are the right...
With each lesson you teach
Many dreams you help it reach
Each smile you lengthens
Make our future brighten.
You paint our minds
And steer our thoughts
Share our triumphs
And advise our faults.
You are the wings of our flight
You are the will of our night
You have set us free
As we trudge on our journey.
A hero - that's what you are
Painting delicate human lives
What you achieve against all odds
Makes others encouraged and inspired.
Thank you dear teacher
For your guidance and love,
For your benevolence so pure
I thank Him above.

"Adapting to Diverse Science Culture for Development

All people have the same basic needs: food, shelter and safety. Beyond these basic needs, people develop to satisfy their desire to make their lives better and easier.
Over the centuries, Science and Technology has touched nearly every aspect of people's life. As Science become more advanced, people developed organized ways of study. Science also began to provide knowledge and informations that could developed into new technological advanced.
Some changes in technology result from earlier developments. For example, early automobiles were a great improvement in transportation that have allowed people to travel farther and faster, another one is the improvement in communication that have allowed people to speak directly with others thousand miles away.
Science also help scientists provide a better tools and method in their work such as robots. Robots relieved people from boring or dangerous work, and they can do precision work faster and more accurate. People have more time to rest, relax, and enjoy life. But we must not forget that this technologies have also disadvantages in our lives. For example, the automobiles has resulted in faster transportation, but it may also led to many highway deaths.
Science also provide ways to solve our environment problems. For example, materials can be recycled. As long as we are responsible enough to make our Earth a wonderful paradise.

"Wikang Pambansa mula Baler Hanggang Buong Bamsa"

During the month of August, we, Filipinos are celebrating the Month of our Language or in Filipino "Buwan ng Wika." And the theme for this month is "Wikang Pambansa mula Baler Hanggang Buong Bansa."
Language is how people communicate with one another. It's a terrific tool. Language is spoken. It is also written down. Different countries have their own languages as their own identities. And here in the Philippines we have more than 80 indigenous languagesand dialects. These languages and dialects belong to the Malayo-Polynesian group of the Austronesian language family. Themost widely spoken are Tagalog, Cebuano, Ilocano, Hiligaynon, Bicol, Waray-Waray, Pangasinan, Pampangan and Maranao. English and Filipino (formely spelled Pilipino) are the official languages. Filipino is largely based on Tagalog with many words adoptedfromother languages including English and Spanish. It was made a national language in 1987in an attempt to address the fact that no two of the indigenous languages are mutually comprehensible.
Who is Manuel Luis Quezon y Molina?
Manuel Luis Quezon was born in Baler, Tayabas (now Aurora). His Spanish Mestizo parents were Lucio Quezon and Maria Dolores Molina. He was the first Filipino president of the Commonwealth of the Philippines under U.S. colonial rule in the first half of the 20th century. He is considered by most Filipinos to have been the second President of the Philippines, after Emilio Aguinaldo. He has the distinction of being the first Senate President elected to the presidency, the first president elected through a national election, and the first incumbent to secure re-election (for a partial second term, later extended, due to amendments to the 1935 Constitution).
Manuel Luis Quezon is also the one who mandated the Tagalog language as "Wikang Pambansa" or national language in English-translation. Because of that, he is known as the "Father of National Language."
But nowadays, many Filipinos continue to primarily speak other language rather than Filipino. One of the sayings of Dr. Jose P. Rizal is that "ang hindi magmahal sa sariling wika ay higit pa sa malansang isda," so we should love our own language and be proud of it.

I learned...

Even before we enter school, we learn to talk, to walk and to use our hands to manipulate toys, food, and other objects. We use all of our senses to learn about the sights, sounds, tastes and smells in our environment. We learn how to interact with our parents, siblings, friends and other people important to our world. When we enter school, we learn basic academic subjects such as reading, writing and mathematics.
And now that I'm a senior student, there are so many things I learned. To start with, I learned about the history of Internet. It's a little bit hard for me to memorize the dates (well, I really hate numbers). I also learned about Blogging. TLE subject is really fun and cool. We explore new things using the Internet.
In my daily learning, it is true that we often encounter challenges and difficulties. We may want to escape, turn back, quit and forget about responding to challenge, so I need to study more at night. Time management can also help me to do my assignments, projects, etc.
Now that I am an adult, I shoul be a responsible one to study my lessons, so that I can pursue my dreams in life. And we must not forget that GOD is always there to guide us in our daily lives.

"Speak English or Filipino Properly with Kindness"

Being communicative in a good way is important to our daily lives. It encourages us to gain self-worth and harness and enhance self-confidence to speak our feelings, thoughts and ideas in relation to topics and issues relevant to our well-being.
Since we first enter to school we learn so many things. We understand what is noun, adverb, adjective, preposition, verb, conjunctions and interjections too. In this case, all of us should know how to speak frequently in English. But it is a common observation in schools that students don't use English in their conversations. Because of this bad scenario, our school are having a campaign to motivate students to speak in English or Filipino.
As a student, let us help to this campaign because English is truly a world language that help us in building our lives.
